Battl – Social Platform Design
SOCIAL PLATFORM FOR SPORT COMPETITION, 2011
I had the opportunity to collaborate with this Start-up from Germany after I succeeded on a tender
contest held by the team when they were looking for the next UI designer to create the new
interface for a social network platform focused in sport and competition between users worldwide.
After 9 months of work and development we managed to put together and publish a complete
platform were people could access, signup and take part in public local competitions while earning
points and rank themselves against other users.
Overview
Battl was created as a social platform
and network to participate on local sport
competitions of any kind. Any user could
sign up by its location on any country
and select its favourite sport to set up
any public competition so other user
could join and compete against each
other on a single or team matches to
earn points when winning. Each city
have ranks for every sport listed by users
on the platform.
Goal
As the UI designer my main task was to
create the visuals and interface of the
platform including all the small
components and details presented to
the user at any given interaction. One of
the main goals was to keep the overall
design elegant, minimal and fresh to
promote the platform as user friendly to
any kind of sport aficionado or
participant of the network.
