Kaplan – English Interactive Game Design
QUIZ FOR KAPLAN ENGLISH SCHOOLS. 2012
I was asked to join a small team to deliver a new game for Kaplan International School UK. The idea
was to develop an interactive game to help students learn english using simple word puzzles. The
content of this puzzles could change depending on the subject and main structure of the module.
We (the team) enjoyed working on it and testing the games, we created a good foundation tool for
teachers to allow them create their own content and teach english to students on a friendly way.
Role

with the brief provided after some student research.
- Creative direction
- User experience
- User interface design
- Assets design
- UI Library
Overview
My responsibility was the creation of all
the game interfase and assets, also the
user experience was part of the process
to ensure the end user would find the
game easy to play with. Since the
beginning we used the agile model
approach to deliver something on every
cycle, our flow of creating,
implementing, testing and reiterating
constantly worked well and also
enhanced the product every time.
Goal
To design, create and develop a set of
interactive games to teach english using
simple word puzzles to students. One of
the main features was to allow teachers
to change and update content according
to the module or class given, also to
create a good and simple interface that
engage with a wide range of students
were young and older could understand
how to play and interact with the
software.
